I first met Tarek in 2016 when he joined the Global Media Forum. From that day onwards I valued his genuine warmth, support, expertise, and wise counsel. Although we had numerous calls over the years, I never got the chance to meet Tarek face-to-face until World Wide Convention earlier this year. And I am so grateful that I was able to – the embrace we gave each other was something I will treasure forever. Rest in peace Tarek, I’ll always remember you.

Tarek was a friend and colleague to many of us at The Coca-Cola Company. We will always remember our times together fondly and miss him dearly. Personally, I worked with Tarek in several roles through both our careers and will always remember his “always-on” positivity, bright personality, and the values he embodied. He was a true partner and we became friends through the many years – it was an honour knowing and working with him.

I never met Tarek in person but worked together through email communication. His warm and personable character was very apparent even in his email communications. Always, polite, kind, and warmhearted. He was very proud of his market(s) and always wanted to share the great work that was being done by his teammates on the Marketing Exchange. He was such an easygoing person. The world is a little darker without him. His global McDonald’s family in the US/Chicago/MHQ will miss him greatly. Rest easy, Tarek.
